Summary/Abstract: The article describes the conditions which are imposed on a customer by network organizations. This has an influence on the development of the purchase potential as well as buying behaviors of customers. The classic approach to customer research in organizational networks was discussed and the status of the client and its role in the organizational network were defined. A formula of network relations was developed being the essence of the whole process of knowledge and experience exchange that leads to a modification of the customer’s buying potential. That gives a basis for the adoption of a customer activity schema in the organizational network as a basis for the examination of their behaviors.
