A brief presentation of the book "Aspects of development of the digital economy in Romania"

Summary/Abstract: This publication is the result the project: „The evaluation of the potential of developing digital and virtual workplaces on the labor market in Romania and creating an intelligent economy”. Confronted with an aging population and global competition, we have three options: to work harder, to work more or to work smarter. We will probably have to do all three, but the third option is only that can guarantee raiding the Europeans living standard.  In this book in this book are presented in the Chapter 1. National reforms for smart, sustainable growth, favorable to inclusion in the 2020 horizon, Chapter 2. IT&C Industry Analysis and E‑co0mmerce in Romania, Chapter 3. Population access to information and IT, Chapter 4. Sociological analysis on digital division, Chapter 5. Theories and policies of digital economy development. In conclusions: The Romanian IT society faces a number of essential issues, but is also characterized by a good level of experts ‘training in this area. Considering the lag of economic development at the level of regional development, we believe that an important issue is to ensure the IT of the regions. We will be able to develop the regions if we create national and regional development networks, virtual organizations of different levels and in different areas of activities.
