Summary/Abstract: The use of information and technical means is an essential part of the work of the powers (secret services and police) of each state. In the Slovak Republic, these are mainly the Police Force, the Slovak Information Service and Military Intelligence, but also the Railway Police, the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps and customs authorities. From the point of view of departmental affiliation, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications are subject to the statutory components of the right to use information and technical means. However, the use of information technology is not equivalent.
