Summary/Abstract: This study aims to find out the student’s attitudes towards the EU integration as function of the acceptance or rejection of the European identity. The hypothesis is that subjects that identify more with the Europeans will be more in favor of the integration than subjects that identify more with Romanians. The dependent variables (the attitude towards integration for the following fields: juridical, educational, political, economical, medical and the overall attitude, the personal and group degree of satisfaction, in the present and the one expected after the integration) and the independent variable (identity: Romanian/European, positive/negative attributes) were measured using scales build by the authors. The subjects (502 students in psychology) that identify more with Romanians are more in favor of the integration than the ones that identify with the Europeans. The results disconfirm the hypothesis.
