Summary/Abstract: This study looks at a small fragment of the Bulgarian linguistic picture of the world related to individualism/collectivism in culture. The linguocultural analysis of various sayings and words in the Bulgarian languageproves a close relationship between the individual and the group in the Bulgarian linguistic picture of the world. The linguocultural analysis represents and reinforces linguistic evidence which confirms the hypothesis of a rather collectivistic type of culture in Bulgarian society.
