Summary/Abstract: Motivation to learn is a crucial segment of academic success. The sources of motivation are multiple and complex. Motivation can be defined as the inner motives that direct human behaviour. The internal components of motivation to learn are: curiosity, self-efficiency, attitudes, needs, skills, extrinsic motivation, self confidence and students’ satisfaction. School success is the ratio between the achievement and submitted effort in education. Factors and causes of the strain can be structured according to the following courts: student, teacher, school, social and family environment. We can say that success has a mobilizing, stimulating effect for the students, as failure is daunting. Therefore success is positively correlating with school performance with work satisfaction and willingness to learn better.
