Summary/Abstract: Albanian is among the Indo-European languages with the largest word-forming capabilities, since almost all forms of word-formation present and productive in Indo-European languages are also present in Albanian. The high potential of Albanian for various forms of word formation has not been adequately addressed and cultivated. Careful treatment and proper cultivation inevitably leads to a new typology of Albanian word formation. Generally there are some ways of word formation such as the Derivation with azits subtypes, forms with articles, compoound word, aglutination, conversion and branding, while blending occurs in some rare cases.
