Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the influence of the Russian Federation in the Western Balkans. Authors argue that the Russian approach to international politics is a mix of realpolitik and (Neo) Eurasianism. Furthermore, they discuss to what extent (Neo) Eurasianism is accepted in the Western Balkans, particularly in Serbia and bosnian-herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska. The paper elaborates how Russia is investing in destabilization of the region, and offers recommendations for countering and mitigating its influence in the Western Balkans.
