Summary/Abstract: In the days of globalization throwing new light on the issue of the territorial aspect of social bonds and social solidarity, determination of factors which are essential in the process of creation of individuals’ bonds with their places of residence seems to be very interesting. The problem of individuals’ bonds with the territory grows in importance especially with reference to the urban environment which is much more receptive to occurring transformation. The main goal of the article is presentation of the prevailing types of residents’ attachment to their area of living as well as defining the correlates of their occurrence in the investigated community of Łódź residences.
