Summary/Abstract: The article presents a few aspects related to non-wordplay in technical English texts. Wordplay is based on similarity of linguistic forms (polysemy, homonymy) which is realised in an appropriate linguistic context. The technical texts have a non-creative character and might be inappropriate contexts for wordplay.
