Summary/Abstract: The Romanian writer and the Norwegian play writer are bounded spiritually, their writings being a dialogue of ideas, a debate between two different kinds of judgment and sensibility, a pleading against ordinary places, a dramatic revealing of essences hidden behind the appearances. Camil Petrescu has certainly found in Ibsen’s works some imperatives of the absolute drama, the only dramatic modality chosen to illustrate the inner conflict. The main role is accorded to aware behavior of the characters, which are intellectuals with a strong personality.
