Summary/Abstract: In what follows, we have tried to understand how the digital revolution changed the trip and transformed the tourism. Explore new destinations, make reservations, tell the story of our journeys, give our opinions: everything is done online. Social networks and virtual reality have led to the end of traditional trips as you knew them. Tourists interact during their travels and each experience, whether good or bad, is instantly shared via social networks. We presented and compared two sicilian websites in order to understand how digital media promotes tourism in Sicily.
