Summary/Abstract: Even though nowadays governments and specialists call on a precise lexicon, it remains vague for non-specialists. Since the emergence of the most commonly known coronavirus, new terms, such as Covid-19 pandemic, have cropped up in our daily vocabulary. These words, sometimes incomprehensible, often contribute to international confusion. For months now, Covid-19, a name made up of letters and numbers, has been pronounced almost mechanically. This acronym has practically entered everyday language. In this article, we will seek to highlight the emergence of neologisms, old words and new lexicon during times of crisis.
