Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the object of the study is the dedications engraved for the daughters, the ways they and the donors appear portrayed in the gravestone monuments of Dardania, through which is seen daughter’s position in the Dardan family and society. These dedications, which capture a time interval from the second half of the second century to the end of the third century, consist of two groups of stelae -type monuments: 1. Those realized only by mother side and 2. Those realized by both parents. Since so far no special study has been devoted to this issue, here are treated as the main ethnographic features of portraits: hairstyles and clothing, as well as epigraphic data, important for their ethnic and chronological affiliation of the monument. So far, the largest number of these monuments is from the central part, today's Kosova, then from the northern one, the areal of Nais and Timak minus, and very little from the southern part, the area of Skopje. From this study we found that dedications to the daughter in the Dardania gravestones show that she undoubtedly occupied an important place in the Dardanian family and society, being treated equally as the son. This shows that in this area children were treated equally, regardless of their gender. Thus, both with dedication only from the mother and from both parents together, side by side, usually with the mother on the right, it is proved that this is a developed cultural society, where the female world had a deserving place.
