Summary/Abstract: Using land under a hydroelectric power station Given the needs of the everyday practical application, it is necessary to treat the issues concerning the legal se­ttlement of using the land under a hydroelectric power station. The currently valid water law does not regu­late this issue consistently so it is still possible to re­ach differing practical variants when interpreting so­me provisions of the law No. 254/2001 Coll. on water (hereinafter WA). In the article the author develops a polemics on the suitability of applying the institu­te of rent or the institute of the law corresponding to the right of user; at the same time, she tries to sketch a solution conforming to legal principles.
