Summary/Abstract: The family equips the child with behavioral patterns, attitudes, social roles and values, prepares the child for functioning in society. Domestic violence,which until recently was considered to be a natural, approved by society and law, educational measure used against family members subordinate to husband and parental, especially paternal, authority, is becoming a major social problem.
