Summary/Abstract: The study highlights the special importance and role of the family in the process of building the foundations for the overall development of a young person. The importance of kindergarten for the child's development was also indicated, and the necessity of the cooperation between the family and the kindergarten in order to unify educational activities affecting the child’s future was signaled. The essence of the cooperation, its characteristic features and basic principles binding its participants were discussed, forms and methods of cooperation functioning in modern kindergartens were described, and the conditions of this relationship were signaled.
