Summary/Abstract: The subject of the work is the role of the kindergarten in the development of social competences of pre-school children based on the opinions of teachers and parents of children from kindergartens located in the city of Bełchatów. The phenomenon of the development of social competences of preschool children is one of the most important problems of modern pedagogy and is the object of interest to many researchers. System solutions are being sought to ensure optimal development conditions for children.
