Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the labour market role of the Hungarian social enterprises based on a questionnaire about Hungarian social enterprises. The founders of social enterprises often aim to improve the employment of those suffering from disadvantages in the labor market. The paper analyses to what extent the examined social enterprises provide opportunities for such atypical employment forms as part-time employment or public employment. It examines whether there are any significant differences among the Hungarian regions based on these employment forms. It also addresses the question whether the concentration of the social enterprises founded to improve employment is significant in the areas with the highest unemployment.
