Summary/Abstract: Conservation policy, recovery and protection of cultural heritage is based on the European Union Consolidated Version of Treaties, the Treaty on European Union, which provides that the Union contributes to the cultures of the Member States, while respecting their national and regional diversity and highlighting the common cultural heritage. This article discusses the most important legal regulations of the national cultural heritage protection from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Spain, Greece, France and Italy.
