Summary/Abstract: Free movement of persons constitutes one of the more comprehensive concept - Internal Market - which can not be achieved if there are some internal borders and restricting the movement of people. Meaning of the concept of free movement of persons has evolved greatly from its inception, with the evolution of EU rules (initially, this concept on persons who have the right to freedom of movement only economic agent is currently leading the notion of citizen of the Union).
