Summary/Abstract: This paper, whose aim is to present the large semantic field “Education”, contains words related to the general educational system, is divided into two parts. In the first section, the author characterizes the Soviet Polish diaspora experiment in the interwar period as giving people of Polish origin autonomy, whose overriding goal was to sovietise and educate the ideal Pole, a Polish citizen speaking Polish. Thanks to auton-omy, there appeared the possibility of education in Polish (Polish primary and secondary schools, higher education). But the Polish educational system was a part of Soviet education – the most important tools for the indoctrination and sovietisation of all nationalities, including the Polish minority. The second part presents vocabulary related to the educa-tional system extracted from “Trybuna Radziecka” (1927–1938, Moscow) – probably the most important press instrument of Polish publishing houses in the USSR. The semantic field “Education” contains the names of schools (e.g. komwuz, likbez, rabfak), names of subjects (e.g. ped-praktyka, społecznoznawstwo) and names of pupils (e.g. otlicznik, uczlot). Almost all items are borrowed from the Russian language.
