The Regional Bibliography Database of the Silesian Library as an Example of a Traditional and Electronic Information Source

Summary/Abstract: The theme of the article is the analysis of traditional and electronic sources of information laid down in the Silesian Library. That includes bibliographies of Silesia and the Regional Bibliography database of the Silesian Library. The history of the bibliography is discussed and the possibilities offered by the database are presented – creating network connections between bibliographic records and full texts published in digital libraries. Examples illustrating the content of the database are materials connected to religion related to the territory of Silesia.
