Summary/Abstract: The coproduction of Moldavian teatru-spălătorie and Stuttgart based Theater Rampe, The Gospel According to Mary could be seen within the series of contemporary performing-arts events Transitions at Tranzit House in Cluj. The production based on a text by Nicoleta Esinencu credited four creators: Esinencu, Nora Dorogan, Kira Semionov and Doriana Talmazan, the last two being the actors of the performance. The Gospel According to Mary is the intertextual, feminist rewriting of the canonized Biblical gospel story, Ugron claims, in which the performance of the actors is minimalist and the speech-text-body implications are connected to each other in a signal-like manner.
