Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to determine the impact of R&D on economic growth by employing a Residual-Based Cointegration test with a Fourier Approximation with annual data from 1990 to 2017 in Turkey. The findings obtained from cointegration test indicate that RD and RGDP are cointegrated. On the other hand the results of error corection model show that there is a bidirectional causality between R&D and economic growth. The Findings are important in terms of revealing the role of R&D in economic growth.
