Summary/Abstract: In recent years, the Chamber of Deputies has discussed a number of draft constitutional laws on referendums and referendums. Their authors, members of the CSSD, KSCM, KDU-CSL and the US, tried in various ways to fulfill the message of Article 2 para. 2 of the Constitution, which reads: "The Constitutional Act may stipulate when the people exercise state power directly" with specific content. The subject of this article is not a recapitulation of arguments for or against direct democracy, as these are usually not arguments of a legal nature, but political and philosophical, let alone political. It does not even aim to overlook the approximately a dozen draft constitutional laws. It is basically just a presentation and assessment of two t.č. the most recent draft constitutional laws on the referendum, the Senate Press (originally the Parliamentary Press 171, then the Senate Press 142, ie the Parliamentary Press 171/6) and the Government Press (the Parliamentary Press 695). Both are discussed by the Chamber of Deputies, albeit in a significantly different "procedural situation".
