Summary/Abstract: Family is a focus point of a lot of public debates, dissertations and journalism. Over recentdecades great changes have been observed in this field. The transformation concernsnew family models as well as parenting styles. Catastrophic visions presenting family declineand the triumph of the individual are noticed. Hence, what is the truth about modernfamily? How many judgements on it are based on actual tendencies and how many aredetermined by stereotypes?
