Summary/Abstract: In March, 1933, the leader of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organisation (IMRO) Ivan Mihaylov suggested to his colleagues in the Central Committee the establishment of a new structure attached to the revolutionary organisation the Macedonisn Auxiliary Legion. The new structure was meant to spread a network of kernel units which would have to attract to the IMRO cause young people - either coming fromMacedonia, or descendants of Macedonian refugees. They had to be trained as volunteers for the struggle against the members and adherents of the communist movement, as well as against the assimilatory regime in Vardar Macedonia, imposed by Belgrade.
