Summary/Abstract: Tennis is one of the sports that is considered as an elite activity. The development of Warsaw’s recreational spaces has led to the popularization of this discipline, to a change in its image and increased accessibility. The aim of the article is to show the development of tennis in Warsaw. The article uses statistical data from the Statistical Office in Warsaw and data concerning the organization of tennis tournaments in the city.
