Summary/Abstract: There were used ROC curves and area under ROC curves (AUC) to evaluate the predictive power of estimated risk models of urban and rural households poverty. Based on ROC curves there were chosen cut-off points (level of probability below which a household is considered not poor). On the basis of ROC curves and areas under ROC curves for simplified logit models (containing subsets of determinants) there was pointed the best poverty indicator. In urban and in rural areas the best targeting indicator is socio-economic group of household.
