Summary/Abstract: The city of Constanţa, through its port, has always been in the front line of the contagion with contagious diseases. Travelers and sailors arriving from the ports of the Orient sometimes brought unknown diseases to this area. As a result, the doctors from the hospital in Constanţa were put in special situations and researched these specific diseases in detail. In turn, local authorities have taken the necessary measures to avoid the spread of contagious diseases and limit their effects
