Summary/Abstract: In the introduction, the structure of the revenues for the local budgets is described and also the ways of founding the local public activities. Following that, the article describes the components, competencies and the consequences of the local financial autonomy and the local budgetary principles. The last part shows the state of financial crisis and the state of financial insolvency of the heritage of the administrative‐territorial units.
