Summary/Abstract: A current concern of the modern societies is the environment, but the environment must be integrated to the economic development, because the need to achieve a balance between conservation and economic development is not an utopia, is achievable by optimizing long‐term net benefits for the population, but without significant degradation of natural resources, which supports the view that environmental protection efforts can create economic growth.
