Summary/Abstract: While showing the main traits of populism and its effects on the EU, the author is confident that the situation might look desperate but not serious. There are chances that populism will be eroded both from outside and from within. Populism is the mist important test for the EU’s capacity to absorb the new member-states – concludes the author.
