Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationships among normative commitment, workaholic behavior, job satisfaction and altruism; and to examine the mediating role of workaholic behavior in the relationship between normative commitment and job satisfaction and in the relationship between normative commitment and altruism. Design/methodology/approach – Research data were obtained with face to face survey method from 307 employees working in a public enterprise. For the reveal the relationships between variables, correlation and regression analyzes were conducted by SPSS 26 instrument. Findings – According to the results of correlation analysis it is revealed that there are positive relationships between all variables. Beside this, by the regression analysis, workaholic behavior has a partial mediating role between normative commitment and job satisfaction; and workaholic behavior has a mediating role between normative commitment and altruism.
