Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study on "Street Theme in Contemporary Turkish Painting in the Context of Figurative" is to identify the examples of street-based paintings in the context of figurative in contemporary Turkish art. Streets are social spaces in villages, in cities where people can step out of their homes, pass through, pass on, and meet each other while living their lives. In this context, it is inevitable that the people who are social beings, the artists should also observe the streets and make paintings of the people in the streets. Because streets are at the forefront of the places where everyday life passes, where people continue to their lives. It is perfectly natural that the artists who portray this everyday life are willing to talk about people in the streets. Especially when examined in the cultural context, it is seen that the street and the people interact with each other in a continuous interaction. In the Turkish painting, in the period of westernization, the figure began to be a subject of painting, and in parallel with this, the artists started to depict the figures by placing them in different places. The Turkish painters, especially because the street has been taken into consideration in the daily life of the people, have depicted people together with the streets. For this reason, it is important to investigate the painters who have works about street in the figurative context of the Turkish painting and to collect the results of the findings and interpretations under a title. Among the artists who produced works within the art of Turkish painting art from the 19th century to the present day; street themed and figurative works of Nazmi Ziya Güran, Sami Yetik, İbrahim Safi, Bedri Rahmi Eyüboglu, Eren Eyüboğlu, Nedim Günsur, Mehmet Pesen, Fikret Mualla, Faruk Cimok, Mustafa Albayrak will be examined.
