Summary/Abstract: The Rococo style, which emerged after the Baroque movement, has established itself in both art and fashion since the beginning of the 18th century. François Boucher, one of the pioneers of this style, met one of the famous icons of the period, Marquise de Pompadour and painted her paintings. Boucher showed Madame de Pompadour's period clothes and accessories, and her stance very well in his paintings and provided an idea about herself. The purpose of this study is to show the place of Rococo style in the history of fashion and art by examining the features of clothing in the portraits of Madame de Pompadour by François Boucher in terms of color, model, pattern, accessory according to the fashion clothes of the period. François Boucher included furniture styles and clothing fashion in the 18th century in his paintings. During the Rococo period, Madame de Pompadour provided the audience with much visual information about this period through the way she reflected her surroundings and clothes.
