Summary/Abstract: This work covers the writings and poems of Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu on folk songs in periodicals since 1930s. The aim of the study is to determine artist’s ambition of emphasizing the cultural and folkloric values, to underline these values creating awareness by reiterating them. In order to make this determination, the writings and poems of the artist on our folk songs were compiled, analyzed and synthesized. In addition, quotations were made from other artists who made evaluations on the subject of the study. The quotations are given directly when necessary, considering the effect and richness of the content. Samples of the songs shared in the bibliography of the study via video links. The richness of artist's skillful literary language and style, increased the scope of what he said about the value of our folk songs. This effect reached and became widespread among the masses due to the fact that these articles and poems were included in the newspaper columns of the period. The result of artist's writings is being aware of the necessity of keeping our folk alive by getting rid of foreign influences, to share our life with them but not without causing to get ordinary and to become corrupt, to disseminate the folk poems by "saz" in the remote corners of Anatolia, to give our folk poets whom tells the "truth" like Âşık Veysel the value and place they deserve and lastly to know our country by full of folk songs and to assimilate.
