Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the planning of biomass supply chain for combined heat and power plants in the context of energy security. In order to guarantee the continuity of energy and heat supplies, the biomass CHP plant must have adequate raw material reserves. Properly selected supply processes can significantly reduce the operating costs of a CHP plant. In a crisis situation, the logistics chain boils down to supply logistics. This ensures combined heat and power plant’s security of energy supply continuity through proper formulation of biomass supply procedures, as well as supporting its efficiency.
