Summary/Abstract: Fred Kuwornu studied Mass Media and Political Science at the University of Bologna and works as a documentary producer, writer and director. TNP writer Melissa Rossi spoke to him about issues concerning Italy's current nationality legislation and the challenges faced by the sons and daughters of immigrant parents in Italy, many of whom do not have Italian citizenship. Kuwornu's newly released documentary 18 Ius Soli (see trailer here) focuses on the challenges of some of these seconde generazioni by telling their dramatic personal stories as they struggle to get their citizenship rights recognized by Italian law.
