The Postmodern Irony and Allegory

Summary/Abstract: This article treats the Dibra’s diptych about mythical Albanian figure Gjergj Elez Alia. Inthis narrative work there is an intertextual over throw of the oral and folk variant of the myth of one of the leading heroes of our legendary epic, which interlaces the elements of both of the above genres of our oral literature: ballads and frontier warriors’ song. Myth is filtrated through irony and parody to become a typical postmodern novel.
