Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present recommendations for increasing the matchingof vocational education offer with the needs of the labour market in the context ofthe situation of vocational education in Opole. The text is based on the results ofa survey conducted using paper forms (PAPS). The survey involved 10 out of 13institutions run by the Opole commune, where vocational education for youngpeople is provided, including all technical schools and 3 basic vocational schools offirst degree. The survey concerned the offer of the examined institutions and theircontribution to meeting the needs of the labour market (number and structure ofgraduates). The respondents were asked to evaluate their educational resources. Theresearch took into account the aspect of schools’ cooperation with the social andeconomic environment, especially in terms of shaping their educational offer. Theresults of the survey are the basis for formulating recommendations on strengtheningthe adjustment function of vocational education in Opole in terms of adapting theeducational offer to the needs of the labour market The key recommendations include:support for didactic processes in the field of infrastructure, support for vocationalschools in developing relations with enterprises and support for vocational schoolsin preparing vocational training offers.
