Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the results of assessing the readiness of Polish enterprises to implement the concept of a business model and use it as a tool to create a competitive advantage of the enterprise. The obtained research results show that there is still low awareness among the respondents of the essence of the business model concept and its role in increasing the competitiveness of the company. The article emphasizes the necessity to further develop the concept and build competences of the business model management.
