The efficiency of revitalization and the involvement of residents - an example of Ostrów Mazowiecka Town

Summary/Abstract: The revitalisation bill was passed by Polish Parliament in 2015. It gave several tools to communal authorities to perform effectively revitalisation of degraded lands. One of the most effective instruments are the obligatory public consultations during realisation of the revitalization programs. The article presents an example of a sound approach to public consultations in the process of municipal revitalization in the town of Ostrów Mazowiecka and the survey results aiming to determine the citizens’ satisfaction with the ongoing revitalization.
