Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to analyse John Anthony Berry’s publication called Yves Congar’s Vision of Faith, and to highlight its main contributions in the field. Since Yves Congar was among those who were called to prepare the Second Vatican Council, his writings, too, belong to the sources through which one can discover the origins, purpose, as well as the immediate and long-term effects of the Council’s teaching. So far, no specific work dedicated to Congar’s concept of faith has been published, although Congar himself, being a teacher, was directly concerned with revelation and faith. If faith is the core and the heart of Christian life, then the publication by Berry can also shed light on the core of Congar’s theology and become an inspiration for the study and reflection on the ideas of both Y. Congar and those of the documents of the Second Vatican Council.
