GUIDELINES FOR PASTORAL MINISTERS PRESENTED IN THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD OF BISHOP MIKOŁAJ SASINOWSKI

Summary/Abstract: On the basis of an analysis of the teaching of Bishop Mikołaj Sasinowski, we can see that he systematically taught and formed his clergy placing emphasis on the fundamental role of the internal life of priests and religious sisters. As shepherd of the diocese of Łomża, taking into account the formation of the proper attitudes of the faithful of his diocese, he pointed to the dignity of human labor and emphasized its role and importance for the good of society. Young people were a special pastoral concern for the bishop. He therefore, on various occasions, urged priests to care for their proper formation. Bp. Sasinowski in his preaching concerned with youth issues, sensitized the faithful to the necessity of the Christian education of young people. He encouraged parents to give an example of personal piety in order to mobilize the young generation to participate in the life of the Church.
