THE ROLE OF THE CUSTOMS SERVICE IN ENSURING THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF THE STATE

Summary/Abstract: The article highlights the role of the customs service in the country's economic security system. An analysis of the efficiency of the activity of the customs service in the last five years and of the functions of this institution in ensuring the economic security of the Republic of Moldova is performed. By applying customs payments, the customs service ensures a significant part of the revenues to the state budget of the Republic of Moldova and protects the domestic producers from foreign competition
