Summary/Abstract: The research presented in this article has as goal to verify the way in which the emotions are used in everyday life taking into account different aspects of emotional intelligence (EI): attitude towards self and others, capacity to communicate; attitude towards life and searching harmony. EI has a major role in creating some healthy interpersonal relations, thus the persons that present high level of EI succeed in being friendly and trustworthy to those with a lower level of EI. As well, those with higher level of EI show a higher degree of empathy in comparison with others and they manage to cope more easily with the difficulties they face. Emotionally intelligent people more frequently tend to achievements, so that persons with high level of EI are characterized with higher achievement motivation, job satisfaction, higher degree of satisfying basic needs and an increased activism. The research was made on a sample of 245 students from University of Political and European Economic Studies “Constantin Stere”, Technical University of Moldova and Free International University of Moldova, the subjects being selected aleatory by randomization technique, aged between 19 and 28 years
