Summary/Abstract: The lawful conduct of administrative bodies, while respecting the principles of good governance, is one of the fundamental requirements of legal certainty. The subject of the paper is the analysis of special administrative procedures in which the center for social work acts and decides. The aim of the paper is to point out the most common mistakes that occur during the implementation of the administrative procedure by the center for social work, supported by available examples from practice. The regulatory framework for the functioning of inspections in social welfare institutions is well established, including the powers of inspectors, but it is ineffective with insufficiently implemented, fundamental, preventive controls, which are the most often carried out, only when a case is already exposed in the media
