Summary/Abstract: Constitutional principle of respect and protection of human freedom isn’t absolute and can be limited. The necessity of protection of public health justifies normative limitation in terms of health care and applies mostly to the principle of doctor's action based on the patient's informed consent. In the paper, there will be analysis situations which can be considered as an exception from the principle. The paper contains description i.a. of medical necessity, compulsory examinations for people affected by mental disorders, compulsory psychiatric treatment, compulsory addiction treatment and compulsory treatment of infectious diseases.
